The Marine Cadets took a trip to the Fall River Fire Department headquarters where they were given a tour of the facility.

Cadets were introduced to personnel, facilities, vehicles, and equipment.  Mr. Hilchey and Mr. Glomba, who are parents of 2 of the Cadets, volunteered their time to assist Marine Cadet Staff in chaperoning.

Upon completion of the trip several Cadets expressed that they feel they may be interested in becoming Fire Fighters after getting a better understanding of the job.  Staff are planning on doing more trips focused at helping Cadets get a better understanding of certain jobs and help to give Cadets an idea of what they may want to do when they graduate high school.  The one thing the cadets are realizing is that a college degree is almost an essential accomplishment in today's job market.
