Who are we?
The Marine Cadets of Massachusetts is a team of youth who have the drive to better themselves and serve their community while having fun.
Where do we meet?
The Marine Cadets of Massachusetts is headquartered on board the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove in Fall River, Ma. Our cadets are the only Cadets we know of in the country that are headquartered aboard a WWII Battleship.
What Cadets learn?
Cadets learn to respect others, self confidence, and most importantly how to respect themselves. Go to our Training Page for a list of other things cadets learn.
What do Cadets do?
Cadets participate in fun activities like paint ball, laser tag, hiking, fundraising functions and also participate in local parades, ceremonies and special events. They wear a slightly altered uniform as a US Marine but serve their country only by having fun and serving as a positive figure of their community. Most youth that join the Marine Cadets become not only successful members of their community but outstanding citizens of the United States. Most of all they gain the maturity and confidence to do anything they want in life.
Who are Cadets?
Cadets are young men and women between the ages of 12 to 18, of all nationalities and race, and are from Fall River and all surrounding cities and towns. Most Cadets have no intentions of joining the military and are not pressured to do so. In fact Cadets are encouraged to obtain a college degree immediately after high school and assisted in the enrollment process.
What are the benefits of being a Cadet?
Those that join the Cadets experience adventure and fun at the same time as learning valuable life lessons.
